Induction cap sealing or heat sealing, as it is widely known, is a very simple and straightforward process. The container is filled and the cap (fitted with a foil liner) is applied. The capped container then passes under the induction cap sealer where a controlled electromagnetic field transfers energy to the foil in the cap, creating heat. This melts the sealing material on the foil liner. Once this sealant cools, the liner adheres to the neck of the container – this is known as a hermetic (air tight) seal.
